I don't know why but many warungs close early today. But, I'm glad that there is still one warung open until now. I guess it's the right answer to my hunger. Finally, I don't eat instant noodles again!

It's a small warung that sells some fried Indonesian foods like chicken and lumpia. I greet the seller who welcomes me friendly once stepped my food there.

My dinner tonight is nasi lumpia ayam and ati ampela goreng. If you're wondering about my dinner, it's just rice, fried chicken spring roll, and fried chicken gizzards. I don't know about other countries but yeah eating chicken gizzards is common here.

It costs Rp15.000 for my meal. One portion of rice and lumpia is Rp12.000 and Rp3.000 for fried chicken gizzard. So, all I get for my meal is warm rice, one lumpia, sliced cucumbers, fried chicken gizzards, sambal, and a bit of kremesan.

The fried chicken gizzards have bumbu kuning as the seasoning. I can taste it at the first bite. It's salty with many ingredients lie garlic, shallot, coriander seeds, turmeric, salt, sugar, and pepper. The fried gizzard texture is chewier than the chicken meat.

The lumpia is crispy outside. As the filling inside isn't only chicken meat but also egg, carrots, green onions, and cabbage. It tastes a bit saltier and somehow I can taste the MSG in the filling. However, this lumpia is the best combo with warm rice and sambal.

Talking about sambal, I love the sambal in this warung. It's sambal tomat if you want to know. It's not just spicy but a bit sour and sweet from the tomato and sugar as the ingredients. If you can't handle the usual sambal, sambal tomat is the right answer cause it's milder than normal sambal.

By the way, the best part of my dinner isn't just the tasty meal, but how I enjoy it. Yes, I eat my dinner with my hands and no spoon or fork at all. Of course, I wash my hands first before eating.

In my opinion, I always find eating Indonesian foods is better using a hand than a spoon or fork. Well, let me finish my dinner and talk about another food later!
