An Ice Tea of My Childhood
It's so hot at noon here. Well, it's dry season now in Indonesia. I think that's the reason I guess.
Drinking something cold is the best drink on a hot day. One of the famous drinks here on a hot day is ice tea.
Ice tea or in Indonesian known as es teh. Cold and refreshing.
I think it's a funny thing you only get in Asia for example in Indonesia. Our drink here is sometimes served in a clear plastic bag. Yes, a clear plastic bag not a plastic glass.
You will get the drink in a plastic bag especially if you buy it from warung. It's as if something is really common here.
Of course, I really am familiar with this culture since my younger self always buys this kind of drink after school. Whenever buy some drinks in a plastic bag I feel nostalgic and remember my childhood time. Ah, time really flies so fast.

An ice tea in plastic. Sugar, jasmine tea, and ice. A very common combination in Indonesia. It's simple, sweet, refreshing, and yet always delights thirstiness.
Is ice tea pricey here? Well, I guess it depends where you buy it. In warung, it's quite cheaper than in the restaurant. You can get at minimum Rp2.000 or Rp2.500 for one sweet ice tea on warung.
Eh, it's my second posting today, right? I guess since I already recovered, I have much energy to write now.
Well, I will enjoy my ice tea and lunch again. Remember to stay hydrated everyone!
