Having A Meal with Sambal Tuna

I got this sambal tuna recently. To be frank, sambal tuna is something new for me. I have never had it before, so it's my first time.

It's just like another sambal from the homemade industry. It's slightly different from the one produced by the factory.

I don't know the prince caused I got it from my sister. It looks like this sambal is like the famous local sambal there in my sister's place.

When I open it, it looks like normal sambal. Red, oily, and spicy. However, I feel something fishier than usual sambal. Well, that must be because it's sambal tuna. Of course, it's fishy since it's made from tuna.

I think this sambal kinda reminds me of sambal terasi. But, we just change the terasi with tuna. Oh well, terasi is shrimp paste if you're wondering.

When I try it for the first time, it tastes good! It has more texture since it has tiny chunks of tuna meat. So, every bite won't be boring.

I almost forget to mention that the spiciness is kinda mild. It's not typical spiciness that would punch your face. I guess, everyone can try this.

I sometimes just have a simple meal such as warm rice, scrambled egg, and sambal tuna. Those three are a good combination for sure! Well, eggs suit with many ingredients like tomato, sambal, or kecap manis.

A few days ago, I also try to make nasi goreng using sambal tuna. It has rich flavor than my usual nasi goreng. I guess, the sambal tuna gives more umami flavor on every bite.

My conclusion, I like sambal tuna since it suits my taste. I think I'll buy it again when I run out of sambal next time.

Btw, I already share the photo of warm rice, scrambled egg, and sambal tuna here first. Yes, I share it on my tumblr before I use it here.
