Masuk Angin, Every Indonesian Must Already Know
It's June now, but the weather here is getting weirder. It should be the dry season for tropical countries but it keeps raining as if in the middle of the wet season.
Sunny in the morning, raining like cats and dogs in the noon, and sometimes there's a storm at night. The weather is just getting worse as time passes by.
Since the weather changes rapidly, I end up getting sick easily too. Guess what? My friend said that I got masuk angin. Masuk angin. Yes, masuk angin.
Masuk angin. Every Indonesian knows about it. Well, how do I describe it? Masuk angin is like an illness combination of cold, fever, nausea, and joint pain sometimes. It's all caused by the wind entering the body. That's why it's called masuk angin which means enter wind.
I can't say it's masuk angin or not cause I don't even know anything about medical things. But, all I know is that I got a fever and a cold a few days ago and still recovering now.
I drink it a lot whenever I am sick. Photo by restyu. |
Well, I already drink medicine and take proper rest. Not forget to mention that I drink a sports drink to keep me stay hydrated too. So, hopefully, I will get better soon.
Whatever the illness whether masuk angin or anything else, please take good care of your health first. Have a proper meal and rest everyone. Stay safe!
