My Simple Meal Ever, Endog Ceplok

When I'm hungry and don't want to order delivery food, cooking is my only choice then. I love to have something simple for my meal whenever am lazy or busy.

One of the simple meals I enjoy is endog ceplok. Endog is the Javanese word for egg. This food in Indonesian is called telur ceplok. Simply, it's well known as fried egg in English.

It's just rice, fried egg, and kecap manis or sweet soy sauce. Simple right? But, it never disappoints me.

The fried egg is salty a bit and there is sweetness from the sweet soy sauce. I love when I make my fried egg crispy on the edge. It gives a crunchy texture that I love.

Anyway, because I like fried shallots, I sprinkle them a little on the top. It gives a fresh aroma and unique taste. Then, add krupuk because why not?

Boom! It's my simple dinner tonight. But I love it!

I can say that this food is like my childhood meal. I started to cook it a lot when I was in elementary school. Why? Because it was easy and quick to cook.

I'm not gonna lie, even if it's a very simple meal. It's still my favorite now!
