Pukis. Some people also say it as kue pukis. However, I just call it pukis for short.
You can find pukis easily anywhere. It's well known as a traditional snack. I can say that it's one of the traditional cakes here.
Pukis is made from wheat flour, coconut milk, egg, and yeast. The seller can add some toppings like chocolate sprinkles or cheddar cheese.

A bit of information, the pan that is used to cook pukis is a bit unique. It looks like a muffin pan with a rectangular basin in the middle. The shape of ready-served pukis is half-moon shaped.
Since pukis are traditional snacks here, the price is quite cheap. I got 4 pieces of pukis for Rp5.000. This time I got 2 cheddar cheese toppings and 2 chocolate sprinkle toppings.

The texture is fluffy and slightly chewy. A bit crispy outside the bottom but still fluffy inside. It's not sweet like a common Indonesian cake. Cheddar cheese gives a bit salty, milky, and sweet flavor meanwhile the chocolate sprinkles add chocolatey milky after taste
If you ask me how I enjoy pukis. I always find it's best to serve it while warm with a cup of tea!
