Bakso. Yes, bakso.Who doesn't like this food?
If I translate it into English, bakso is a meatball. In Indonesia, bakso is usually served as soup here.

When you order bakso in a restaurant, you will get bakso, noodles, broth, and veggies. The common veggies in the bakso are celery, green onion, and mustard green. But in some other styles of bakso, you can also get pangsit, beef narrow, and tofu.
My lunch today is a bowl of bakso telur. It costs Rp12.000 in a stall near my place. I got one bakso telur and 4 small bakso. Bakso telur means egg stuffed bakso. So, you can find a hard-boiled egg inside the bakso.
The broth of bakso is clear but has a rich flavor. Meaty flavor and slightly oily from the beef fat. It also has a unique aroma since there are fried shallots and celery. You can those all in a bowl of warm bakso.
Well, the broth in my bowl looks a bit dark since I put sambal and kecap manis. It has more flavors like sweet, spicy, and umami combined as one.

The meatball, it's chewy and I can still taste the meat not only the flour. Bakso telur has a unique taste since it has a boiled egg inside.
There're 2 types of noodles in my bakso, glass noodles and egg noodles. The noodles aren't soggy and still chewy.
The mustard green gives a crispy texture. It's also refreshing since the veggies make it decreases the oily taste a bit.
A bowl of bakso is always a good choice for the lunch, especially if it's rainy outside. Warm and tasty to delight my lunchtime.
