A Special Drink When I Was Child, Soda Gembira

Finding people who drink pilk once I was scrolling Twitter made me curious. What is pilk? Oh, it's Pepsi and milk.

I just wrinkle my forehead and think something. Is pilk that special? I mean, it's the same with soda gembira for me.

Yes, soda gembira. If I translate it into English it means happy soda. Funny name I know, but it suits the name since those who drink soda gembira is always happy.

Soda gembira is a drink made from soda, coco pandan syrup, condensed milk, and ice. Those ingredients are very common to be found in Indonesia.

I make a slight change on my soda gembira since first I don't have clear soda and second I don't really like coco pandan syrup. So, I use UHT milk and strawberry Fanta to make this soda gembira.

How to make soda gembira? It's just so simple like putting condensed milk on the glass first, adding ice, adding strawberry Fanta, then pouring the milk. If you aren't a fan of sweets, just put a tiny bit of condensed milk. Tada, you have a glass of soda gembira now.

It tastes like strawberry milk with a slight soda flavor. And yes, it's sweet since I put condensed milk. Somehow, my childhood self loves this drink so much.
