Emping One of Tasty Chips Here!
To be honest, I rarely eat this kind of snack. It's emping that we're gonna talk this time!
Emping is a snack from the plant Gnetum gnemon L. Surprisingly I keep remembering the scientific name until now. The plant called melinjo or mlinjo in Indonesian
If you have gout, people will advise you not to eat emping. For detailed information, you can search it on the internet since health isn't my cup of tea.

I found this snack when going to the minimarket. It's emping from Kusuka, one of the famous snack brands here. It costs Rp 8.700 for a bag of 40 grams.

It has a unique smell once I open the bag. You know, a certain smell of emping. It has a very specific smell whenever I eat emping.

The chips have a golden color. It's so crispy if you take a bite. It's delish with a sweet, salty, and slightly bitter taste in the end. A unique taste of emping.
You can add this emping on your meal. Well, it's something like krupuk you can say. Some Indonesian cuisine use emping instead of krupuk, for example, soto betawi.
There are still many snacks that I'd love to write about and talk about. Let's talk about it later once I find something interesting.
