Harvesting Kangkung And Cooking It For My Dinner

I can say gardening is part of my routine now. I spent at very least 2 hours a day in my garden.

Btw, I'm growing a lot of veggies now. Maybe I'll tell you about my garden next time when I have the mood to show you.

Harvesting kangkung from my garden.

I just harvested kangkung a few hours ago. Kangkung or water spinach is common to cook here. But I rarely eat this because my family isn't big fans of kangkung.

I grew the kangkung using a hydroponic system. Wick system to be precise because it's easy to use.

Not much kangkung for this harvest cause I'm still trying to grasp this method. But I still am quite satisfied with the result.

A small bowl of my tumis kangkung.

I ended up cook this kangkung as tumis kangkung. I don't follow the recipe from the internet and just use my feeling and logic too for cook this.

I just use garlic, shallots, red chilies, oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce, salt, white pepper, and a bit of msg. Stir fry it all with the kangkung for about 15 minutes and I get tumis kangkung in the end.

Rice, tumis kangkung, fritters, and egg for my dinner.

I can't say it's the best tumis kangkung that I make but at the very least it's still edible. I eat this with rice, fritters, and an egg.

It tastes sweet, crunchy, and slightly spicy. I love the combination of my tumis kangkung and cauliflower fritters. It goes well and I don't expect it.

Well, I think I'll keep trying to grow kangkung in my garden now. I'll improve my hydroponic for kangkung and improve my recipe for tumis kangkung too!
