Salted Egg Chicken For My Hungry Tummy
Hi, it's been a while since my last post. I'd like to talk about the reason for not updating anything last month in the other post.
Back to the main story. I just want to update a bit about my cooking.
As the title, I want to talk about salted egg chicken. It's my first time trying it cause at first I think it's gonna be a weird combination. But well, I regret it why I didn't try it anytime sooner?!
I use the instant salted egg seasoning from a nearby convenient store. For the cooking, I follow the instructions on behind. I just change a lil bit by adding lime leaves, garlic powder, and chili powder.
It just took like 10 minutes for cooking this since the chicken is already cooked before. I also added fresh cucumber and basil from my garden.
Tada, I got my simple dinner. Salted egg chicken, rice, and lalapan.
When I take a bit of the chicken I feel surprised. The sauce is creamy and eggy. I don't smell something fishy from the sauce. I thought before that it's gonna be fishy since it used egg yolk but it doesn't!
Well, I love the sauce so much. It's creamy and milky. Slight sweet and spicy too. More importantly, it goes well with rice and lalapan.
Let me be honest here. I think I'll start to cook this a lot for now. Maybe I'll try to change the chicken with tofu or something else. But believe me, I'll put the salted egg on my favorite menu now.
