Nasi goreng here use sambal for seasoning. So, it's spicier than the usual fried rice. Since we use kecap manis or sweet soy sauce, nasi goreng has a darker color and slightly sweet taste.

Today, let's talk about the nasi goreng's vendor near my place. Maybe next time, I will write about my home cook nasi goreng that my father taught me.

I usually buy nasi goreng from food stall. They usually open at evening until night. One plate of normal nasi goreng is costed around Rp13.000-18.000.

I ordered one nasi goreng take away. I choose the mild one since I got stomach upset this morning, so I didn't dare to try any spicy food for now.

It took about 10 minutes for the seller preparing my meal. While I was waiting, I was paying attention how the seller cooked nasi goreng. i just found that his style making nasi goreng is a bit different with my father.

He cooked the egg first, then added sausage, meatball, and chicken. After that, he added sambal. Tossing it a bit before putting the rice. He gave seasonings tossing it again and adding some greens.

Well, I was a bit surprised when I watched that. Cause usually I cook the sambal first with the egg.

Cause I order take away, my food is wrapped in food wax paper. He didn't forget to give krupuk and acar as the complement.

Once I open it, I can smell something sweet, spicy, and aromatic on it.

It's savory and slightly sweet. I can taste something like gulai or kare flavor too. The gulai flavor is just a tiny bit adding a new taste for me.

Acar gives slightly acidity and freshness. Make it not greasy for real. Krupuk is also crunchy and gives more texture. I enjoy every bites combination of rice, sausage, egg, meatball, chicken, and mustard green with the seasoning. It just suits my taste.

Well, let me finish my dinner and I will write about my homemade nasi goreng next time.
