Enjoying a bowl of warm bakso is such a blessing on a rainy day. It's warm and feels as if giving me a hug. Since I make it myself, let's talk about it.
The ingredients of my bakso are quite simple: chicken bakso, bok choy, glass noodles, fried garlic, fried shallots, water, chicken powder, salt, sugar, and white pepper. I got the frozen chicken bakso from the nearby warung. It costs Rp 4.000 for 10 balls of bakso.
The broth is really simple. I just boil the water with fried garlic and fried shallots. Then put the seasoning in the broth. Simple and easy broth right?
Put glass noodles, boiled bok choy, and bakso, in the bowl then pour the broth. Sprinkles the fried shallots on top. Tada, a simple bakso for my meal on a rainy day.

As an Indonesian, I don't forget to put kecap manis and sambal in my bakso. Well, that's an Indonesian habit for real.
Umami from bakso, sweet from kecap manis, and slightly spicy from the sambal. It's good! Do not forget to mention, that it keeps my body warm too.
Well, any soup is always the best meal on a rainy day for real!
